The dissertation aimed to explore tutors’ characteristics that might affect tutor commitment and effectiveness in PBL. The study provided information and recommendations for policy makers and faculty developers on how to improve the tutors’ current PBL experience, the characteristics that might be useful to consider during tutor recruitment, and the design of tutor preparation programs.
